Analytics cookies — only with your consent
If you click “Accept” on the banner, we load Google Analytics 4, a service of Google Ireland Limited. It sets the cookies _ga and _ga_<ID>, which distinguish visits, and we have set them to expire after 13 months. We use it to measure, in aggregate: pages viewed, visitors, where traffic comes from, country and language, the most visited pages, and a few interactions — clicks on the contact page and on our email address, contact-form submissions, downloads, clicks on press articles and switches between English and Italian.
We have turned off Google signals and advertising features: the data is not used for advertising or to build profiles, and is not combined with other Google services. Google Analytics does not log or store IP addresses. Data is processed by Google, which may transfer it to the United States under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Art. 122 of the Italian Privacy Code).
If you click “Reject”, or simply ignore the banner, Google Analytics is not loaded at all — no Google script, no cookie, no request to Google.
Changing your mind
Use the cookie settings link, also at the bottom of every page, to reopen the banner at any time. Withdrawing consent stops the analytics immediately and deletes the analytics cookies set on this site. Your choice is remembered in your browser’s local storage for six months, so we don’t ask on every page; after that, or if this notice changes materially, we ask again.
Everything else
No advertising or retargeting pixels, no tag manager, no embedded videos or maps, no social widgets, no chat popup, no hosted fonts.
There is exactly one exception, and it appears only on pages that carry a form — this page included, since you can write to us from it. Those pages load Cloudflare Turnstile, a bot check that protects the form from automated abuse. Apart from Google Analytics when you have accepted it, pages with no form load nothing from anyone else. Turnstile is designed as a privacy-preserving alternative to conventional CAPTCHAs — it does not profile you and does not track you across sites — but loading it does mean Cloudflare receives your IP address and basic browser information in order to decide whether the request looks automated. We use it because a public form without bot protection becomes a spam relay. See the privacy notice for the legal basis.
What does get recorded
Our web server keeps ordinary access logs — the requested page, the time, the browser’s user-agent string, and the IP address the request came from. This is a normal part of operating and securing a web server, done on the basis of our legitimate interest in keeping the service available and defending it from abuse. These logs are not used to profile you, are not combined with anything else, and are not shared.
The forms on this site
The contact form and the whitepaper request form collect the details you type into them and set no cookie to do so. What happens to those details is described in the privacy notice.
